Football, upside down fun, and sunsets!

Football was earlier in the month, but I can't leave it out!  Shawn loves football and can't wait to play tackle when we move back to the states!

Alyssa got these rings for Christmas and they all love them.  They just hang upside down forever!

And....beautiful sunsets this month!  I am trying to capture them often.  I will miss this amazing view from our backyard, nothing like it!

Christmas and its celebrations!

Love this time of year!  Kelsey's school performed for the parents, and the kids were surprised with a visit from Santa himself.  The big kids had a school music show also, but I wasn't able to take any good pictures, the place was packed and we were in the back.  This year we decorated a gingerbread train, our family tradition!  Then Christmas eve pictures in front of the tree and all the fun of Christmas morning!  The kids seemed to enjoy giving each other gifts just as much as recieving them!  Lets hope this continues!

Medina Sidonia!!!

One of my favorite Spanish town events happens at Christmastime.  This year we took in the live nativity of Medina Sidonia.  For this one day, the town and its people present a live nativity scene throughout the town. After waiting in the masses of people, they allow a small group to pass through at a time.   I thought this town did a great job, with the baby Jesus and Joseph and Mary at the end, it was beautiful.  We were able to enjoy the sunset as we came into town too, which is probably my favorite part of living here!

Fun with friends!

We  had a fun weekend with friends and birthday parties!  Playing in the leaves and then girls birthday party at Princeslandia, dress up fun!

Ireland in December!

I was so lucky to get to experience Ireland with one of my lifelong friends.  When Stacey emailed and said she was going to Cork for work did I want to meet her there, I jumped on the chance.  I was feeling a little homesick, so this was music to my ears.  And we had a great time, catching up, shopping and exploring! We went to the town of Cobh, which was the last port of the Titanic before it sank.  Very cute town, one of our favorites!  We found the Irish people to be so friendly!  Then we went to Blarney Castle and kissed the Blarney Stone!  That night we hit a traditional Irish pub and enjoyed the Irish music being played by locals!  The next day we went to Killarney and Kenmare.  Both cute towns and amazing drive between the two.  We walked up to a beautiful waterfall and explored the natural park a little!  We ate amazing food everyplace we went, from burgers to breakfast!  Amazing girls weekend!
