Thanksgiving activites!

Our Thanksgiving started out with a very cute performance by Alyssa and her first grade class about what they are thankful for!  And although we normally have gone out of town for Thanksgiving, we stayed in Spain this year.  We did continue our tradition and drove a little bit north to go to Hard Rock Cafe for Thanksgiving.  We found a hotel with an indoor pool and stayed the night!  The kids had fun playing in the hot tub and pool and the next day we visited the cute little while village of Mijas!  We took a donkey taxi around town and explored a little on foot!  Very cute town, glad we didn't miss it!



Marine Corps Ball

We went to the Marine Corps Ball!  We enjoyed a night out to support our friends!

Lobo park and Antequera adventure!

We had a long weekend and decided to take a quick overnight trip to the town of Antequera.  We started at Lobo Park, or in English, wolf park.  We met the Hasselbrings there and took the tour and learned a lot about wolves from all over the world.  After the wolf park we went to Torcal Natural Park.  This is a mountain peak that has amazing rock formations.  We picked a 1 mile path through the rocks and enjoyed exploring and imagining what the rock formations looked like!  The kids discovered some caves along the way and one took a fall and hit his head.  We all made it out and had a good time!

The next day we went into town and visited the castle and an old church.  We were headed to lunch when Gary and Alicia called saying their car had overheated.  As we were walking back to the carpark to go find them, there they were on a side street that we were passing!  Like any good adventure we went with the flow and helped them get home safely!  We had a fun time exploring this little town and would recommend a visit to friends!
