Alyssa turns 5!!!

So hard to believe that Alyssa is 5 already, these kids are growing up so fast.  However, this year was different, because I made her birthday cake for the first time.  Seems crazy, but our friend Ann has made all her birthday cakes!  And I think Ann would be proud of me this year...nothing compared to hers, but I did try to make it special for Alyssa!  We had a few friends over for pizza and cake and they had a nice evening!

May 18th...fun busy day!

First, a bittersweet morning, Alyssa's graduation from preschool.  This preschool program was a Spanish Immersion at the CDC, and it was fantastic.  The teachers were so great with the kids, so it was a very sad day, in that we won't be a part of that class anymore.  The kids put on a little show, singing songs they learned throughout the year and also showing us all the Spanish they have learned!  They even wore caps and gowns!  So cute!!

This evening we went to cheer our friends on as they played baseball.  And our friend Vicki said, lets go to Feria tonight in Sanlucar...so called the babysitter last minute, she came over and Brian and I went to get Vicki!  I had been wanting to go to Feria at night to see the lights and dancing without the kids...it was great!  We met up with a couple of Vicki's friends, one is her dance teacher, Carolina!  I already knew I wanted to take Sevillana dance lessons next year, but after last night, it is a must.  I can now see how they stay up so late and dance the night away!  I love that they all dance with whoever, men, women, a group of women!  It was a spontaneous night of fun!

Sanlucar as the sun is going down, beautiful beaches, have to go back!

Look at these girls, in their beautiful dresses flying in the air!

Kelsey's first field trip!

Now that Kelsey is 3, she has moved up to a big kid room at the CDC.  And they went on a field trip this week to the Bee Farm.  I struggled with the decision, but decided to go with her on the field trip.  I am so thankful that I did!  The class is quite a handful, with lots of boys and girls that couldn't keep their hands to themselves and just busy kids!  The bee farm, was a little over Kelsey's head, but I think she enjoyed tasting and seeing the bees work!  She enjoyed the bus ride, and eating a picnic lunch and making a candle!

Class picture, but Kelsey would not participate!

Rota Feria!

We made it to Rota Feria for a little while despite sick kiddos and mommy!  Shawn was home sick with Daddy, but I was able to at least take the girls for a little while with their friends Skye and Piper Andros.  It was half price rides day, so it would have been a good day to take advantage, but we went on one ride!  Such an interesting concept, put on beautiful dresses to ride rides?!?!  But the rides were not all that was there, casetas and dancing, food and drinking, and games!  Very overwhelming for our first time, I am definately looking forward to going back next year with the kids and without!  I would love to just sit and watch the dancing!  I think the girls had a good time as well, cotton candy and bumper cars, what more can a kid want!

The girls with their teacher, Ms. Maria Jose.

I love the look on Piper's face, they had so much fun running into each other!

Girls Feria show at school!!!

April 27th, the girls school had a feria!  Feria season is here, and the CDC started it out with a great performance by the kids!  In the morning we took the kids to the castle in Rota and a friend of ours did a photo shoot with the kids!  Then the afternoon we got dressed up again and headed to school.  The kids babysitter, Hannah, and I wore our feria dresses too!  We had a fun time, and the girls loved it!
