First Family ski trip!

The Sierra Nevada mountain range is only about 4 hours from where we live, so this is where our adventure begins on skis!  And an adventure it was!  The town was very cute nestled into the ski area, but not easy to get to and find hotels!  We found our hotel and had no plans of getting back in the car till we drove home.  The hotel we stayed in was great, our rooms had an upstairs loft for the kids to sleep and they loved that.  We also had beautiful views of the mountains.  So, all the kids wanted to try skiing, so we rented skis for all three.  After figuring out the lifts, lessons, etc...we rode up the mountain on a gondola to put the kids in lessons.  Shawn was awesome, off to lessons he went....Alyssa and Kelsey were no goes.  At many points Kelsey was just refusing to walk at all and just not a happy camper.  Shawn did great at his lesson, but was tired after!  The kids were content playing in any snow around, in front of the hotel were little hills that they were happy sledding down!  There were moments during the trip that were very frustrating, but overall a nice weekend.  We will attempt skiing again as a family, but hopefully somewhere they speak English!

We arrived, kids were happy to be out of the car in the snow!   Our hotel.
